About this calculator

This calculator does straightforward clock arithmetic: it adds a duration expressed in hours and minutes to a starting time, carrying minutes into hours and wrapping past midnight (24-hour rollover) exactly the way a clock does, to return the resulting time.

Shift managers and HR schedulers use it to work out when a shift or break ends, payroll administrators use it to check timesheet entries that span an addition of overtime hours, and event planners and cooks use the same math to figure out finish times for a sequence of timed tasks.
