Fullwidth (Vaporwave) Text Converter

Turn text into fullwidth vaporwave style.

How it is calculated

The tool converts plain ASCII characters to their fullwidth Unicode forms, the wide characters used in East Asian typography and in the "aesthetic" text style. Each printable ASCII character from ! to ~ (code points 33 to 126) is moved up by 65,248 (hex FEE0), so A becomes A, a becomes a, 5 becomes 5. An ordinary space (32) becomes the ideographic space U+3000. Characters outside that range, such as accented letters, Chinese characters or emoji, are left unchanged. Empty input gives no result. The result is just text, so it can be copied into any place that accepts Unicode, although some fonts may show the wide forms inconsistently.

Worked example

Input: Hello World 2025. The letter H (code 72) moves to 72 + 65,248 = 65,320, which is H, and every other letter and digit moves by the same amount. Each of the two spaces becomes a wide ideographic space. The output is Hello World 2025, and each character now takes up the width of two ordinary ones. Searching for the original text will no longer match it.

Common mistakes

  • Using fullwidth text for passwords, usernames, or file names. Many systems treat the wide characters as different from normal ones.
  • Expecting accented letters like é or ç to be converted. Only basic ASCII characters are changed.
  • Posting converted text where it should be found by search. Searching for "Hello" will not match Hello.
  • Relying on screen readers to read it normally: some read each wide character differently, so use it for decoration only.

About this calculator

This tool converts normal ASCII text into fullwidth Unicode characters (U+FF00–FFEF range), which mirror standard Latin letters and digits but render at the wider spacing used by East Asian typography — giving text that distinctive, spaced-out "vaporwave" look popular in usernames, bios, and aesthetic edits.

Social media users, meme creators, and designers use it to style profile names, captions, and graphics without needing image editing software. Type normal text to see it converted instantly to fullwidth characters, ready to copy and paste anywhere Unicode is supported.
