About this calculator

The stickiness ratio divides daily active users (DAU) by monthly active users (MAU) to show what fraction of a product’s monthly user base engages with it on a typical day — a ratio of 20%, for example, roughly means the average monthly user opens the product about 6 days out of the month. Higher ratios indicate a more habitual, daily-use product.

Product managers and growth teams at apps and SaaS platforms track DAU/MAU as a core engagement metric, since it captures how deeply embedded a product is in users’ routines, not just how many people signed up. This calculator takes your daily and monthly active user counts and returns the stickiness ratio as a percentage.
