Brevity codes are standardized short terms used in military air operations to communicate critical information quickly and unambiguously over radio — for example, “Fox Three” announces the launch of an active-radar-guided air-to-air missile, “Bingo” reports that fuel has reached the level needed to safely return to base, and “Splash” confirms a target has been destroyed.
