About this calculator
This calculator counts the number of weekdays — Monday through Friday — between two dates, automatically excluding Saturdays and Sundays from the total. It answers a different question than a plain date-difference calculator, since it's counting working days, not calendar days.
It's used for anything governed by a 'business days' deadline: shipping and delivery estimates, bank transfer and check clearing times, legal notice periods, contract review windows, and HR processes like notice periods or onboarding paperwork that reference working days rather than calendar days. Project managers and freelancers also use it to estimate realistic turnaround times for deliverables that only get worked on during the week.
