The hip-to-height ratio divides hip circumference by height, both measured in the same units — HHtR = hip circumference / height — producing a single decimal figure comparable across people of different builds. Hip circumference is measured at the widest point around the buttocks, standing relaxed with a flexible tape held horizontal.
