About this calculator

This calculator finds pH = −log₁₀[H⁺] from a given hydrogen ion concentration, and also derives pOH using the relationship pH + pOH = 14 (at 25°C), so entering one value gives both the acidity and the corresponding basicity reading on the standard 0–14 scale.

It's used by chemistry students working through acid-base problems, by lab technicians and researchers checking solution chemistry, and by anyone maintaining a pool, aquarium or hydroponic garden where pH needs to stay in a specific range for the system to work properly.
