About this calculator

This tool translates English text into Pig Latin using the classic rule set: for a word starting with a consonant (or consonant cluster), move the consonants before the first vowel to the end of the word and add "ay" (e.g. "pig" → "igpay"); for a word starting with a vowel, just add "way" or "yay" to the end (e.g. "egg" → "eggway").

It's used mostly for fun — as a language game, a light obfuscation for kids' messages, or a programming exercise in string manipulation — rather than any serious purpose. Type or paste text to see it converted word by word.
