Turkey Postal Code Lookup

What is my postal code?

Result

1
Province / District Neighborhood Postal code
ISTANBUL / KADIKOYCAFERAGA MAH34710

How it is calculated

This is a lookup, not a calculation. It searches a bundled copy of the Turkish postal service (PTT) code list for Turkey and Northern Cyprus. There are three ways in. If the search box contains only digits (2 to 5 of them), the tool reads it as the start of a postal code: the first two digits are matched to a province (the same number as the province's licence plate code), then every neighbourhood (mahalle) whose code begins with your digits is listed. If it contains text of at least 2 characters, it matches province, district or neighbourhood names, ignoring Turkish accents and capital letters, so "kadikoy" finds Kadıköy. You can also pick a province and then a district to list all its neighbourhoods. At most 600 rows are shown; a count with a + sign means the list was cut off, so narrow your search.

Worked example

Suppose a parcel is addressed to postal code 34710 and you want to know where that is. Type 34710 in the search box. The first two digits, 34, point to the province of Istanbul. The tool then looks through that province for codes starting with 34710. The result count is 1, and the single row reads ISTANBUL / KADIKOY, neighbourhood CAFERAGA MAH, code 34710. Typing only 347 would instead list every neighbourhood whose code starts with 347, which is useful when you know just the beginning of a code.

Common mistakes

  • Typing a street name or building number. The list only goes down to neighbourhood level, so one code can cover many streets, and a street cannot be searched.
  • Entering a code with a space or letters, such as "34 710". Spaces or letters turn it into a text search instead of a code lookup; type the digits together.
  • Searching with a very common neighbourhood name and not choosing the district. Many places share names across provinces, so check the province and district label in each row.
  • Treating a partial code result as final. If you type only 3 digits, you will see many different areas; the full five digits are needed to identify one.

About this calculator

This tool looks up postal codes for Turkey and Northern Cyprus (KKTC) by province and district, listing every neighborhood (mahalle) in that district along with its assigned postal code — the same five-digit codes used by PTT and courier companies to route mail and packages.

Online shoppers use it to fill in the right postal code at checkout, businesses use it to validate customer addresses before shipping, and anyone filling out an official form uses it to find the correct code for their neighborhood without digging through PTT's own site.
