About this calculator

This calculator converts the rai, Thailand's traditional land-area unit, into square metres and hectares using the fixed official relationship 1 rai = 400 square wah = 1,600 m² (a rai is also equal to 4 ngan, the next smaller Thai unit). These units are still the ones used on Thai land deeds (chanote) rather than the metric system alone.
