About this calculator

Sportsbooks price both sides of a two-way market so that the implied probabilities from their American odds add up to more than 100% — that excess is the vig (or juice/hold), the book's built-in commission. Converting each side's American odds to an implied probability, summing them, and subtracting 100% gives the vig percentage; dividing each side's implied probability by that total (removing the overround) gives the vig-free "fair" probabilities that reflect the true expected outcome without the book's cut.

This calculator takes both sides' American odds and returns the vig, hold, and de-vigged fair probabilities and prices. Sports bettors and odds analysts use it to see how much margin a book is charging on a given market, compare pricing across sportsbooks for the same event, and back out a "true" probability estimate for building their own model rather than trusting a single book's line at face value.
