About this calculator

Logo churn (also called customer or account churn) measures the share of distinct customer accounts a business lost over a period, regardless of how much revenue those accounts represented: logo churn rate = customers lost ÷ customers at the start of the period. It’s called “logo” churn because it counts company logos/accounts rather than dollars, distinguishing it from revenue churn, which weights by contract value and can look very different (a company can have high logo churn among small accounts but low revenue churn if its big accounts stay).

SaaS and subscription businesses track logo churn alongside its complement, the customer retention rate, because losing many small accounts still signals product or onboarding problems even if revenue churn looks healthy. This calculator takes customers lost and customers at the start of the period and returns the logo churn rate, retention rate, and remaining customer count.
