About this calculator

Selling through Amazon's Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) program layers several separate fees onto every unit sold: a referral fee (typically 8-15% of the sale price, category-dependent), a fulfillment fee based on product size and weight tier, monthly storage fees that spike sharply in Q4 and for long-term stored inventory, plus the seller's own costs — cost of goods sold (COGS), inbound shipping to Amazon's warehouses, and per-unit PPC ad spend for sponsored listings.

FBA sellers need the full picture, not just the referral fee, because it's easy to price a product that looks profitable on paper but actually loses money once fulfillment, storage and ad spend are stacked on top — a common trap for new sellers is pricing based on COGS plus referral fee alone and being surprised when the real margin turns out thin or negative.

This calculator takes your sale price along with referral fee, fulfillment fee, storage cost, COGS, inbound shipping and PPC spend per unit, and returns your profit, margin, ROI and the break-even price for the listing.
